Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, DOI for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submission of manuscripts

The manuscript should be submitted using the online manuscript management system. Authors need to first register themselves and then submit the manuscript through their accounts. To register or log in, click here.

The manuscript should not be emailed now. We will not entertain the email-based manuscript submission now.

If authors will be facing any difficulty in account generation and manuscript submission online, then they can drop an email at igjpseditor@gmail.com with a detailed query and screenshot indicating the problem.

Quick Notes: 

a) Authors should make sure that they have avoided plagiarism/similarity to the level best. If we will notice plagiarism of a severe level at any stage, it will lead to retraction.

b) Manuscript must be submitted along with the cover letter.

c) Manuscript should be submitted in word format, not in PDF. PDF document can also be send along with word document, but word document is mandatory.

d) As the journal strictly follows the peer review process, so we are submitting a request to all the prospective authors that if they are intending a quick publication and direct acceptance of their article, then kindly submit it in any other journal. We can’t compromise with the peer review process. Though, we rest assure our prospective authors that we try our level best to convey the first editorial decision to all the authors at the earliest possible date. So, we expect a cooperation from our authors to let your manuscript go through the proper peer review process, as it will increase quality of article and it is betterment for science and even your ownself.

e) Manuscript submitted to the journal should not be simultaneously submitted to any journal. Authors are allowed to communicate it to other journal, only when authors received rejection from Editorial Team or when authors have withdrawn it properly from our journal. Simultaneous submission to other journal and publication in other journal will lead to serious consequences which may include black-listing of authors and/or associated affiliations and disallowing them for submission of any manuscript to our journal in next five years, and could also lead to submission of details to COPE.

f) Authors should not take any figures/illustrations from any other article or online source without written permission from that journal. We assume that all the figures/illustrations submitted by the authors are the original work and their own creativity. If authors have taken any figures/illustrations from any other article or source, they should submit the permission letter from the journal.

g) References should not be mentioned in the heading/sub-headings in the manuscript. References should be in the text part of the manuscript.

h) Affiliation of the authors should be complete with Country Name in the ending.

i) It is advisable to provide email id of all the authors.

j) We assume that the manuscript has been submitted after proper consent from all the contributing authors.

All components of the manuscript must appear with a single electronic file: References, Figure Legends and Tables must appear in the body of manuscript.

Open Access Policy

Open access to the article generally increases the visibility and thus the readership. Hence, in order to have the maximum visibility for the articles published in Indo Global Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, all the articles are open access and free to download by the readers.

Review process

All manuscripts are reviewed by the editors, members of the editorial board, or qualified ad hoc reviewers. When a manuscript is submitted to the journal, it is given a number and assigned to two reviewers. The reviewers operate under strict guidelines and are expected complete their reviews quickly. Within 6 to 8 weeks after submission, the corresponding author will be notified of the editor’s decision to accept without change, recommended for modification, further review, or reject. When modifications are requested, the corresponding author must submit the modified version within the deadline given to them. Manuscripts that have been rejected, may be resubmitted if the major criticisms have been addressed. The cover letter must state that the manuscript is a re-submission, and the former manuscript number should be provided in the appropriate field on the submission form.

Manuscript preparation

The manuscripts should be submitted with a cover letter declaring that the study was conducted in compliance with international, national and institutional regulations pertaining to animal experiments and clinical studies. It should also be clearly stated that the study protocol complies with a particular recommendation and was approved for use. The cover letter should explicitly state that the manuscript has not been previously published in any language anywhere and that it is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal. Authors must describe in a covering letter, when submitting papers for publication, the novelty of their work or in the approach taken in their research. It is welcomed that the brief introduction of the first author and the corresponding author sent in attached file.

The manuscripts must be type-written in clear, grammatically correct English with no typographical errors. Manuscripts that do not meet the minimal requirements for English grammar and composition will be rejected immediately. Manuscripts with text that is faint or illegible or with substandard illustrations will be returned to the authors.

Neatly type every portion of the manuscript (Times New Roman, Font size 10, spacing 1.0). The manuscript should be prepared and numbered consecutively as follows: Title page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, Conflicts of Interest, Data Availability, Author’s Contribution, Funding Statement, References, Figure legends, Tables and Figures.

Use one font type and size throughout the manuscript. Leave one space after a comma, except in chemical names, for example, 1,2,3,4- tetramethyl. For the identification of pharmaceutical substances, the International Nonproprietary Names (INN) proposed and recommended by the WHO should be used. For the units of measurement, the use of the International System of Units (SI) is recommended: m (meter), g (gram), kg (kilogram), μg (microgram), s (second), min (minute), h (hour), d (day), y (year), l (litre), μl (microlitre), ng/ml not ng•ml-1 and r/min not rpm. Excessive abbreviations should be avoided and abbreviations other than those acknowledged, uniform and standard should be contained in brackets at their first use.

Research papers

New, significant, innovative and original findings are suitable as Research papers. There is no page limit for Research Article.

Title page Please give the title (capital for first character), running title (not to exceed 50 characters and spaces), name of each author and an asterisk placed after the name of the corresponding author, address(es) of the institution(s) at which the work was performed, each author’s affiliation, and a footnote including the complete mailing address, a single telephone number, a single fax number, and a single e-mail address for the corresponding author.

Abstract Abstract not exceeding 250 words should be arranged in the pattern covering Purpose, Methods, Results and Conclusions. The abstract could be structured or unstructured. Avoid abbreviations. There should be no references, and do not include diagrams. The abstract with keywords should be typed on a separate sheet.

Keywords Below the abstract, type 3-6 keywords or short phrases suitable for indexing.

Introduction The introduction should not be an extensive literature review although it should provide sufficient background information for the reader to understand and evaluate the results of the present study without referring to previous publications on the same topic.

Materials and methods The section should include sufficient technical information to allow the experiments to be repeated. Procedural detail that has been published previously should be referred to by citation. When a modified procedure is used, only the author’s modifications of the previously published method need to be given in detail.

Results and Discussion Results should be described as concisely as possible in one of the following ways: text, table(s), or figure(s). Avoid extensive use of graphs to present data that might be more concisely or more comprehensively presented in the figures or tables. The number of tables and figures should be restricted to 4 and 8 respectively. The reproducibility and statistical significance of measurements, material or biological data, must be included where relevant. The discussion should provide an interpretation of the results and their significance with regard to previously published work. There should not be any significant repetition of the experimental procedures or reiteration of the introduction.

Conclusion A short, paragraph summarizing the most important finding(s) of the research is required.

Acknowledgments The source of any financial support, gifts, technical assistance and advice received for the work being published must be indicated in the Acknowledgments section.

Data Availability: Authors should declare if the data pertaining to the manuscript will be available to the public and provided by them after query or not.

Conflicts of Interest: Authors must declare all the conflicts.

Funding Information: Authors must provide the information of funding and acknowledge it properly.

Author’s Contribution: All the authors mentioned in the manuscript should have genuinely contributed in the manuscript. There should not be any ghost author/guest author. Authors should specify the contribution of each author in the Author’s contribution section.

References Responsibility for the accuracy of bibliographic citations lies entirely with authors. Citations of literature in the text must be presented in numerical order and a separate Reference List should be supplied. Type numbers in square brackets and do not use superscripts. Reference should include the list of authors (first name-abbreviated, last name), title of the article, Journal/Book title, (book publisher), year, volume number, issue number and page number, e.g.

We recommend the usage of Vancouver style in Endnote

Tables All tables must be numbered consecutively (using Arabic numerals) and be cited in the text. Titles should be short but descriptive. Each table should be on a separate sheet, together with a legend and/or footnotes identified by superscripts a, b, c, etc. Do not use vertical lines and keep horizontal rules to a minimum. In tables, the units are usually in brackets following the quantity, and the font should be Times New Roman and size of 9 pt. Please send the tables in excel.

Figures: Figures (photographs, drawing, diagrams and charts) are to be numbered in one consecutive series of Arabic numerals in the order in which they are cited in the text and abbreviated as Fig. X. The captions for figures should be typed on a separate sheet of paper under “Figure Legends”. The width of the figure should be about 8 cm or 16 cm (but not more than 16 cm) and in figures the font of words must be of “Times New Roman” with font size of 9 pt, which especially for the X-axis and Y-axis. For figures made in excel, the excel table should be provided.

Formula and equations Structural and chemical formula, process flow diagrams and complicated mathematical expressions should be very clearly presented. All subscripts, Greek letters and unusual characters must be identified. Structural and chemical formulae as well as process flow diagrams should be prepared in the same way as graphs.

Review articles

Review articles should contain up-to-date information providing comprehensive coverage of relevant literature. Review articles should preferably be written by scientists who have in-depth knowledge of the topic. All format requirements are similar to those applicable to Research papers. Review Articles need not be divided into sections such as Materials and methods, and Results and discussion, but should definitely have an abstract and introduction. There is no page limit for the Review Article.

 

Proofreading: We will contact the authors only if we feel that there are critical points that need to be addressed by the authors. We don’t send galley proof in general. Our copyediting team handles the work on their own.

Copyright Transfer Agreement Authors will be asked to sign a transfer of copyright form when the papers are accepted for publication and be typeset. All authors must read and agree to the conditions of copyright form and return the signed Copyright Transfer Agreement within 10 days.

Article Submission Charges:

There is no article submission charges.

Article Processing Charges/Administrative Charges (updated w.e.f. 01.09.2021):

For Indian Authors*-   2600 Rs per article

For International Authors*-  150 USD/ 1000 RMB (Chinese Yuan) or equivalent.

*Corresponding author is considered here.

Authors from Countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Maldives are also eligible for consideration under the umbrella of article processing charges specified for Indian Authors.

In case the authors of scholarly work will not be able to pay the article processing charges, they can send a request letter to Editor-in-Chief (EIC) at editor@iglobaljournal.com & igjpseditor@gmail.com with proper justification. EIC decision will be final in any case.

Publication Frequency

Indo Global J Pharm Sci will be published as 3-4 issues in a year. All the rights are reserved. Apart from any fair dealing for the purpose of research or personal study, or any critical suggestion or review, no part of the publication can be reproduced, stored, or transmitted, in any form or by any means without prior permission of the Editor-in-Chief, Indo Global J Pharm Sci.
